John Galliano Spring 2012 Line Pays Tribute to Feminine Form

It can be a daunting task to take over for one of the most prominent and critically acclaimed designers in the world of haute couture. However, Bill Gaytten impressed the audience with the Spring 2012 line by John Galliano. After a disastrous fashion line last Fall, Bill redeemed himself with the wearable spring show. While fashion-conscious women may have a hard time accepting a John Galliano line which wasn’t designed by Galliano himself, this line was a really nice surprise. The designer was fired from not only his namesake label, but Dior too, after a true disaster last season. While keeping the fashion house’s Parisian flair, the volume on the line was definitely dialed down for the new season with a muted color palette and far less extravagant designs. Nonetheless, models still displayed a romantic selection of most beautiful dresses which paid tribute to the feminine form in full. Focusing on the print trend which is so prevalent in the haute couture these days, Bill said Style.com, ‘There is that thing about nannies,’ referring to his Mary Poppins inspired line.
